Nebraska treats lobbying activities slightly differently than the federal government. In our state, certain lobbying activities trigger the requirement to register and report activities to the Nebraska Accountability and Disclosure Commission. These are quarterly reports, plus a post-legislative session report. Don’t worry. It’s not daunting. Your organization already tracks lobbying activity for its annual 990 IRS report; it is the same information for Nebraska. It is just reported quarterly instead of annually.
